• We will NEVER release your personally identifying information to any other party without your express permission except for the purpose of credit card authorization or when required by law.
• When we share information with an Ideal Card merchant, it is for the purpose of generating offers that may be of interest to our cardholders. Information is provided in the form of non-identifying cardholder data.

The information we collect, and how we use it

Basic information:

To become an Ideal Cardholder, we ask you to submit your name, email address, mailing address and gender. This information is required to activate your Ideal Card.

Questionnaires, surveys and preferences:

We may ask cardholders for information through questionnaires, surveys and preferences request. Information obtained will be used to develop "Ideal Offers" that may be of interest to our cardholders. Occasionally, an "Ideal Rewards" merchant may offer additional Incentives in exchange for filling out a survey.

Transaction information:

"Ideal Rewards" merchants send us transaction data electronically through the use of point of sale terminals. This facilitates the instant update in our database so that cardholder's accounts are always current and allows us to develop "Ideal Offers" based on your preferences. We occasionally pass this information back to the "Ideal Rewards" merchant that supplied it to confirm that the transaction was not fraudulent and was processed correctly.

Aggregate statistical information:

We may collect aggregated data regarding our cardholders. This data does not contain personally identifying information such as name or e-mail address. We will NEVER release your personal information to any other party without your express permission except for the purpose of credit card authorization. However, aggregated data from our cardholders may be shared with our "Ideal Rewards" merchants. For example, an "Ideal Rewards" merchant may choose to design an "Ideal Offer" for only our male or female cardholders.

How and when we contact you:

Ideal Card occasionally must contact cardholders by mail for card renewals and to verify transaction data.

Security information:

All the data you provide to www.idealcard.com is protected to ensure both the privacy and authenticity of your data as it travels across the internet. Remember to keep your account information and password private and secure; do not share it with anyone.

Cookies:

Ideal Card uses cookies when you log on to www.idealcard.com with your password and email address. These cookies allow us to remember you as you visit pages in our site, so that you don t need to re-enter your password many times. Once you log off your browser, these cookies expire and no longer have any effect.

Opt-out policy:

If you do not want to receive e-mails, text messages and offers from Ideal Card you must cancel your Ideal Card account. To cancel your account, log in and select "Cancel My Account" in the Account Services section.

Correct/update policy:

To change, update or correct your account information, log in and select "Edit My Profile" in the Account Services section.

Deactivate policy:

If you would like to be deactivated from this site's database, you must cancel your Ideal Card account. To cancel your account, log in and select "Cancel My Account" in the Account Services section.
